Viator Coupons & Promo Codes

Viator is Tripadvisor’s marketplace for tours, day trips, tickets and activities in thousands of destinations. Most “Viator promo codes” you find online are old, region-locked or never existed. This page lists only offers we can trace to Viator or its official partners, explains how to use a code if you have one, and shows the savings that work even without a code.

How to use a Viator promo code

1. Choose your tour, date, time and number of travellers.
2. Click Book Now or Reserve and continue to checkout.
3. Look for the promo code field on the payment step, near the order summary.
4. Type the code exactly as given (codes can be case-sensitive) and click Apply.
5. Check the new total before you enter payment details. If the price didn’t change, the code didn’t apply.

Viator generally accepts one promo code per booking.

Viator student discount

Viator has offered a student discount through verification platforms such as Student Beans and UNiDAYS. Reported amounts differ by country and over time (we have seen 10% to 13% mentioned), and some offers have a minimum spend or exclude theme parks, virtual tours and gift cards. To get it, verify your student status on the platform, generate your code there, and apply it at Viator checkout. We don’t list a fixed percentage here because it changes; the platform shows the live amount for your country.

First-booking and app discounts

Viator has run welcome offers for new customers, such as discounts for downloading the app, newsletter sign-ups and refer-a-friend credit. These come and go, and the amount and minimum spend depend on your country. The safest way to see what you qualify for is to sign in to the Viator app or website as a new customer and check the offers shown to you. If you also use a cashback site, note that some cashback programs don’t track app bookings.

Viator promo code not working? Here is why

• It expired. Most codes run for a short campaign.
• Wrong country or currency. A UK code may not work on the US site.
• The tour is excluded. Theme parks, attraction passes, private tours and gift cards are often left out.
• Minimum spend not met. Check the basket total before tax and fees.
• Account rules. Welcome codes are usually for new accounts only, one use per person.
• It was never real. Many coupon pages copy guessed codes. If a code isn’t from Viator, a student platform or a partner you trust, assume it won’t work.

Smart ways to save on Viator without a code

• Book early in peak season. Popular tours sell out and cheaper time slots go first.
• Pick off-peak times. Morning and weekday departures are often cheaper.
• Compare group sizes. Small-group and shared tours usually cost less per person than private ones.
• Choose free cancellation. You can rebook if the price drops or your plans change.
• Pick one savings route. Viator Rewards and third-party cashback generally can’t both apply; choose the one worth more to you.
• Check card offers. Card issuers sometimes run limited Viator statement-credit offers. Check your card app.
• Watch seasonal sales. Black Friday, Cyber Monday and January sales are when broad discounts are most likely.

Viator offers by country

United States: offers priced in USD on viator.com. United Kingdom: GBP pricing; codes and student offers may differ from the US. Canada & Australia: local-currency sites; Australia has had a refer-a-friend credit for new customers. Always use the code on the site version it was issued for.

Viator coupon codes: what we found (November 2026)

We checked the biggest coupon sites for current Viator coupon codes on 1 November 2026. RetailMeNot and Groupon listed sales and cashback offers rather than codes, while other coupon sites listed codes for 10% off a first booking and 10% off for Discover cardmembers, which you’ll find at the top of this page. Many other “Viator coupon code” listings were expired codes from 2022 and 2023, or codes meant only for travel agents, so we left those out.

Viator promo code for first-time users and the app

If you are booking for the first time, look for a Viator first time promo code in the Viator app or after signing up for the newsletter. Viator has offered new users around 10% off a first booking this way, sometimes called a Viator new user discount or sign-up promo code. The amount, minimum spend and availability change by country, so check what the app or welcome email shows you before booking. An app promo code generally works only for app bookings.

Viator 10% off code

Searches for a Viator 10% off code usually point to three real routes: the student discount (10% for verified students via Student Beans or UNiDAYS), new-customer app or newsletter offers, and occasional sitewide sale codes. Past Viator promotion codes have often required a minimum spend, for example 10% off bookings over a set amount.

Viator referral code and newsletter discount

In some countries Viator runs a refer-a-friend programme, where an existing customer shares a link that gives a new customer credit on their first booking. The Viator newsletter also occasionally sends subscribers a discount code. Both are limited to new or eligible accounts.

Viator Black Friday promo code

Black Friday (27 November 2026) and Cyber Monday (30 November 2026) are when Viator discounts are most likely, with sales on selected tours and experiences. We add any Viator Black Friday promo code to this page as soon as it is announced.

Viator cruise, NHS and other discounts

Cruise shore excursions: there is rarely a dedicated Viator cruise promo code, but many shore excursions on Viator include free cancellation and a pickup timing guarantee, and general sale codes usually apply. NHS discount: we have not found an official Viator NHS discount; check NHS staff discount platforms for any current travel offers. Viator voucher codes: Viator gift cards and vouchers are paid for in advance and are different from promo codes; promo codes usually cannot be used to buy gift cards.

Viator promo codes on Reddit, RetailMeNot and Groupon

Threads on Reddit and coupon sites like RetailMeNot and Groupon are useful for spotting sales, but many codes posted there are expired or region-locked. Remember that a promo code and Viator Rewards cannot be used together on the same booking, so compare which saves you more.
